Goode Goode Studios Launches Make a Mandala on Roblox, Turning Screen Time into Green Time

For Immediate Release

Nicosia, Cyprus / Los Angeles, CA — April 22, 2026 — From the creators of Backpack Adventure: Find the Animals (2.5 million+ plays), Goode Goode Studios today announced the launch of Make a Mandala, a new interactive Roblox experience designed to transform digital play into real-world nature discovery.

Built around the studio’s guiding principle that screen time can lead to green time, Make a Mandala blends digital exploration, creative expression, and nature literacy into a repeatable gameplay loop that encourages curiosity and observation.

In the experience, players explore a stylized natural world, collect items such as leaves, flowers, acorns, pinecones, and stones, and arrange them on a simple radial grid to build symmetrical mandalas. Finished creations can be shared and discovered through a swipeable in-game feed, reinforcing both creativity and connection.

The gameplay loop is intentionally simple: explore, collect, create, connect — and repeat.

During playtesting, one young player paused mid-design and said, “I need more cattails.” Rather than abandoning her creation, she ran her avatar back to the riverbank, searched along the water’s edge, gathered what she needed, and returned to complete her mandala pattern. That moment captures the spirit of the experience: creation drives exploration, exploration deepens observation, and observation fuels creativity.

“Mandala-building develops more than artistic expression. It builds a foundation in nature literacy — helping children recognize patterns, observe structure, and connect digital creativity to the natural world around them,” said Kimberly Thompson Panay, Founder of Goode Goode Studios. “Our goal is to meet kids where they already are online and design digital experiences that spark real-world curiosity.”

As players experiment with radial symmetry and balance, they strengthen pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, and design thinking — skills that support early math and geometry concepts, engineering thinking, and visual problem-solving without feeling instructional.

Make a Mandala is developed in collaboration with Let’s Botanize, a botanical education platform dedicated to making plant science accessible and engaging. Founded by scientists, the organization translates rigorous research into digestible media that brings the study of plants into free public spaces.

“Our mission is to make botanical knowledge accessible and exciting for everyone,” said Jacob Suissa, Co-Founder of Let’s Botanize. “Make a Mandala invites young learners to notice patterns and structure in the natural world in a playful way — and noticing is the first step toward deeper curiosity.”

The experience extends beyond the screen through companion hands-on activity sheets and guided nature prompts designed to move digital creativity into backyards, parks, and classrooms.

Make a Mandala is part of Goode Goode Studios’ broader mission to build planet-positive play experiences where creativity, nature, and community grow together.
