Why Do Animal Eyes Glow?
In real life, many animals’ eyes glow in the dark thanks to a mirror-like layer behind the retina called the tapetum lucidum. It reflects light and helps animals see better in low light — which is why their eyes shine when caught in a flashlight beam or camera flash.
In Backpack Adventure, players can spot the same glowing effect at night. And just like in nature, not all glows are the same.
Some creatures glow green. Others glow red, yellow, or even white. These differences come from variations in eye structure, shape, and the angle of reflection. Players who look closely can begin to recognize which glow belongs to which animal.
That kind of close looking builds pattern recognition and observation skills that translate directly to the real world.
